The Two Life Notes To Take

When you decide to improve your life there’s really only two things we need to do — and two things to pay attention to.

The first is to find out how things work, the second is to go to work!

So many people are trying to beat the system instead of using it to our advantage.

Every moment we spend on looking for the best ways to beat the system or to avoid work or to cut corners is a moment we could have used to accomplish great things.

If you’re like me and you’re also looking to accomplish great things let me tell you the two types of notes we all have to take to find out how things work.

First, we take notes on what to do.

Get around successful people and start listening! Pay attention to what they do, what they say, how they act, how they think — if someone is successful in their business, in their relationship, in their health and fitness — they’ve figured out how that thing works!

And it only makes good sense to take notes on how they do it.

Second, we take notes on what NOT to do.

Because it’s just as important to pay attention to what NOT to eat, what NOT to think, what NOT to do, how NOT to treat people.

Look at unsuccessful people — figure out what they’re doing — AND DON’T DO IT!

Whenever I hear someone complain that they don’t have successful people around them to model — the first word of advice I have is to look at what the unsuccessful people do and do the opposite!

It’s not perfect but it’s what we call a good start!

So to find out how things work — businesses, relationships, exercise routines, healthy eating we take notes on what to do and what NOT to do.

Then we take the next big step which is get to work.
