New years has come and gone. You will soon be slipping from your resolutions and saying “I need to get motivated!”
You know what that feels like. Work is overbearing, you feel like a slug, and you’re upset for not accomplishing more. You are saying to yourself how much quicker and easier you could get in shape or build your business if you were motivated.
This is what I’m going to do – help get you motivated.
Lesson #1 – The more you move, the better you feel!
What we need first is a little change in philosophy, you don’t get motivated then get off your butt, you get off your butt TO get motivated.
The more blood flow, the more lubricated your joints, the better you feel.
You start to feel better with BIG movements. And don’t kid yourself – lazily marching in place won’t cut it. Forget about how silly you are going to look for a second and try jumping up and down, huge jumping jacks, or dancing like a maniac, whatever it takes to get the blood really flowing. Try not to crash into the furniture, okay?
Lesson #2 – Feed the motivation
Once you start moving it’s time to do the simple things you and I both know you aren’t doing enough of. Eat healthy, and hydrate, hydrate, hydrate. Did you know that one of the first symptoms of dehydration is not thirst, but fatigue? Better believe it. Start chugging some water and you’ll realize how thirsty you really are.
And when I say eat healthy – I hope you’re not thinking I mean put lettuce on your whopper. (There goes my BK sponsorship…)
Lesson #3 – Learn about motivation
In reality motivation is a physiological and psychological state (I can use big words, too! – Mother would be so proud). You can become motivated any time you want but unfortunately there is much more to motivation than what I can share with you right here and now.
This is why I want you to start your own education on motivation. Learn the psychological triggers, learn the physiology, learn what it takes to get and, more importantly, stay motivated.
So no more saying I need to get motivated – start with these three steps
